MIND & WELLBEING · THE HIIVE COLLECTIVE
“Understanding who we are helps us serve others better.”
Lance Pendleton
Former Apple educator · National Head of Agent Development at Compass · Chief Innovation Officer at a Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate · TEDx speaker · 1,500+ presentations nationwide
As National Head of Agent Development, Lance helped develop and train the agents at Compass while it grew from six thousand to thirty-four thousand, and before that he was Chief Innovation Officer for the largest Sotheby's International Realty affiliate in the country. Before that, Apple. What makes him different is the lens - a background in behavioral psychology, so he starts with why agents actually do what they do rather than what they ought to. He has taken that to a TEDx stage, to FOX, and to more than 1,500 rooms across the country. He has written two books and hosts two national podcasts, including Consumed for Homes.com, where he interviews consumers rather than agents - because the business almost never lets agents hear from the people they serve.

WHAT LANCE SPECIALIZES IN
Behavioral psychology, and only that.
Every Hiive coach holds one clear specialty, so you always know whose door to knock on. For Lance, that’s behavioral psychology in our business and our relationships — and when a question belongs with another coach, it gets handed to the right one, not kept.
NEXT LIVE · THIS MONTH
Fear of disappointing others and the 10:30 p.m. phone call: Why you struggle to say no and what to do instead
The client texts at 10:30 at night and you answer, because saying no feels more expensive than the sleep. We look at where that reflex comes from, why it costs your best clients rather than protecting them, and what a boundary sounds like when it has to survive a real conversation.

WHY I PAY IT FORWARD
“18 years ago, at my lowest point in life, I was loved by a room full of strangers until I learned to love myself. Everything I have in my life is because of someone else, and nothing is of my own great genius, and those people have all taught me the value of being of useful purpose and service to others.”
— Lance Pendleton, in his own words

The Hiive never sells and never will. Lance’s own business lives off-platform — these links are here because finding a coach you trust is the whole point, and what you do together outside the Hiive is entirely between you.
MORE COACHES IN MIND & WELLBEING
FOR COACHES
The best in the country, giving it back.
One brand-new 30-minute class in your lane each month — never a rerun — one piece for the newsletter, the substance for a one-page takeaway, and your why, kept current. About an hour a month, all in. We produce, promote, clip, caption, and distribute everything — and every clip is yours to use anywhere, carrying the Hiive’s name. The coaches’ call runs twice a month — nineteen peers at your level, and the week’s thank-yous from agents read aloud — and it’s an invitation, never a requirement. There’s no application: every coach here was recommended by several already giving. If someone once gave you something you could never pay back, and you’re ready to pay it forward, come talk to us.
